It should stir the conscience of some who come on in here whinging moaning groaning and weeping etc etc about the socialist state and in particular have a go at those who are in the unfortunate position of having to pick up unemployment benefits of less, well less, than $300 a week. How the hell they live on that amount of money has got me stuffed.

Yes there are a lot of hypocrites around, put there hand out to the government themselves but decry others getting a lifting hand. An old mate's father was a brilliant example of this. Filthy rich but complained about his pension being too low at the time when Frazer did away with the means test on the aged pension. How some of these people sleep of a night leaves one wondering.

Howard sure was a shifty mover. An advocate at heart of a flat income tax rate which he did not have the intestinal fortitude to introduce, he tried to achieve the objectives outcome by handouts to the rich. Did a bloody good job of it to. Thank god that we now have a government which is attempting to address the problem.
