    I find this hard to believe from a company/operator supposedly as professional as ENI.

    Our ability to measure CO2 was compromised because the downhole equipment that is designed to read and report gas composition information from specific strata could not be calibrated correctly.

    Couldn't calibrate a piece of equipment/what rubbish

    Not that it would of made any difference to the end result.

    It would have made a lot of difference to some if the announcement after reaching total depth hadnt been as upbeat as it was because they would have known more about Co2 levels before deciding to go to production testing.
