Of course they are 'late' to the party but at least they are at the party the ALP are still getting ready at home - we should of had Nuclear reactors 10 years ago - at the same time advances in Nuclear tech has made it MUCH safter then it was 15-20 years ago.

Regardless, to answer your point yes i believe renewables and battery techonology will and should get better, safer and more efficient - but if we are 'using' science fiction and hypothetical technology id argue Carbon Freezing technology will improve making the need to shift away from Fossil fuels pointless


You can only play the cards you currently have that Nuclear is the clear best option to reduce emissions and provide energy - Duttons mix of renewables and Nuclear is the 'right' answer based on current data and technology.
