Socceroos robbed: Beazley
THE Socceroos, cruelly knocked out of the World Cup by a penalty in the final seconds of the match against Italy, were "robbed". Opposition Leader Kim Beazley said today.
"The Socceroos have done Australia proud," the federal Labor leader said in Melbourne today. "We was robbed, no doubt about that, but nevertheless they have gone a very long way, and Australian soccer will be very much the better for what they have achieved."
