I often wonder to myself: if ARB was not the darling of a particular small cap index in a particular stock market located in a particular part of the world, would it still trade on P/E multiples in the md-20s, and EV/EBITDA multiples in the mid-teens?
I doubt it.
As someone who invests for a rising income stream in the first instance, ARB has served me very well, awarding me with handsome "pay rises" at many multiples of the rate of inflation, for many years.
I did, however, find the valuation to be somewhat eye-popping in recent months.
Still do.
