Yes, I'm actually taking the tax question into account in my analysis.
The other issue is one of opportunity cost. Whilst the face value of the cash released from the sale, even after tax, may be greater than the intrinsic value, there's the question of the opportunity cost of having that cash earnings next to nothing. And at the consequence that you have lost a business which tends to surprise on the upside.
I'll put my thoughts out tomorrow. Though I do fear it might look like I'm talking out of my behind.
Nevertheless, I'll be interested to know your thoughts.
