IMO the price is where someone/s and not necessarily in collusion, wants it. A half decent trader with say $500k (dollars not shares) can push this stock around quite easily, with well placed orders on the buy and sell side. Now throw in a few of these types (and i am certain there are a few, Socius being one of them) and the ball is definitely in their court. Short term gains, while relatively small on a % basis mean a decent weeekly/fortnightly/monthly booked profit for these types. Its important to them that the company stay at cheap levels, both in terms of market cap and share price. Easier to manipulate the herd and control the share price.
As for cornerstone investors, you'd think that if anyone was making a move it would be at these sort of prices? If these types cant see value at these levels...well, i dont know. Then we're stuck with the daytraders until enough perceived value is built into the fundamentals that they cant resist. That could be Botswana after its proved up, or it could be PEN+DeWit 2-3 years from now.
