I had to remove about 8 sheets of asbestos
that were 1 square metre each in size, that was
used under the eaves of an old sunroom on my
house.
I thought it was asbestos and got a professional
in to remove it.
He had to pre warn the neighbours with a
letter box drop, stop the traffic either side of my
house, use a device to monitor the air and
wrap said asbestos in plastic sheeting before
taking it away for disposal. It took about
20 minutes to remove and cost me $2400.
Discussing with different people I know and
most would have put a mask on, removed it
themselves and put it in the weekly rubbish.
