Well, as far as I know both governments have passed laws allowing for first strikes, which doesn't help.
However, Paul Craig Roberts isn't saying nuclear war is imminent, he's just saying it's now more likely than previously due to mistrust. Nobody knows what the probability is but I'm sure all of us would be much happier if it was zero.
