    Is it ok or not ? It really depends on your own trading time span. There are down trend and uptrend in different short time frames.

    I trade the 3 minute Ichimoku chart, and at the same time watching the 5 minutes and 15 minutes Ichimoku charts to give me a slightly longer term views. As you can see, what is a "long" period can be a "short" period to others.

    Just my thoughts, not an advice.
