My understanding is that Hanna are planning on drilling a large amount of their tennements with the aim of 100s mt of Cu (note this is from memory, so DYOR), before a BFS..
Whereas DML have already defined enough for one plant and are now drilling to increase the resource for plant, 2,3...
So, yes a similar strategy, but DML is alot closer to being in production.
I actually mentioned a long time ago that Hana and DML should look to work together, especially where their deposits run along strike from each other. Also the coal power plant could be a JV operation.
As for a merger, you never know, but DML is worth more imo due to it being closer to production.
