The especially good thing for Cuadrilla is that if human induced global warming is real, then gas will be a vital bridge fuel away from coal into renewables. Alternatively, if global cooling is happening, even more gas will be needed as a cleaner burning fuel will be more necessary as we will need to burn more of it.

Unless the UK can dig up their own nuclear fuel, energy security will dictate that gas will be a very significant base load contributor for the UK.
