despite AZZ saying from the outset that there were no conditions precedent to be met I have always thought that for a deal to drag on as long as this has that it was never a "simple straight forward deal"
for what its worth my guess is that the deal was always the subject of further DD and conditions(despite what AZZ told the market)..and guess what the buyer is now saying "hey we will buy it but not at the price that we first discussed" and given the poo remaining in the low 40s why would the buyer rush in..there aren't going to be too many competing bids

time will tell but if I was a betting man my bet would be on the deal falling over (probably because the parties cant agree on a revised down wards price)
some readers will say "hey that cant happen" but the reality is that deals fall over all the time

I suspect that many shareholders have placed too much reliance on AZZ stating that there were no CP's
