I consider myself one of the many Australians who think that the miners should pay more tax, not royalties to WA and Queensland.
The issue is that the working age population (translation: productive sector) can't prop up the tax rorts imposed on it by the retired baby boomers (non or less productive sector).
Yes, that means negative gearing on existing properties as a start. NG has to start being wound back in a meaningful way.
I am not alone on this issue.
