Swedish beauty giant Foreo will launch new device named ‘Bear’ – expanding its range of products to include microcurrent technology – in Asia ahead of a global roll out next year.
The new device will launch first in China and Korea with China Duty Free Group (CDFG), China National Service Corporation for Chinese Personnel Working Abroad (CNSC), Korea’s Shinsegae Duty Free, Shilla Duty Free, and Lotte Duty Free ahead of a global roll out slated for early 2020.
Foreo insists it had a ‘very successful TFWA Cannes’ exhibition in October, where buyers from the aforementioned retailers placed orders for the new Bear and Bear mini products on the spot, after testing them at the Foreo booth.
“Anti-ageing is the hottest trend in the skincare market at the moment, especially for Chinese millennials,” says Foreo.
ANTI-AGEING PRODUCTS FOR 20-YEAR-OLDS
“The demand for such products has continued to grow steadily among the ages of 30-45, however, in China, 50% of people aged 25-29, and 30% of people aged 20-24, have already started using anti-ageing products, according to research by www.statista.com.
“The younger generation is keen on delaying signs of ageing and doing prevention based treatments for early signs such as fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin, especially around the facial contours.
“Both the Bear and Bear mini assist in combating all of these concerns, as well as tightening the facial muscles for a v-shaped face.”
Using a combination of microcurrent and T-sonic pulsations, the new devices are said to firm the skin for a more ‘youthful and contoured complexion’.
“Stimulating microcurrent tones the skin, while Foreo’s signature T-sonic pulsations relax the facial muscle tension points, and smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles,” adds the company.
