Of interest is a post relating to Ian Howard who apparently is a member of the Murray Bailey consortium that Wellington Capital Limited has allowed to fence sit on a contract re the sale of a PIF asset, Kooralbyn Resort

Good news on the road, August 2011.

In a new development, one of the Kooralbyn Resort consortium directors, Mr. Ian Howard, addressed the Kooralbyn Valley Chamber of Commerce meeting on the 26th August. He outlined the consortium's visions, that would see Kooralbyn become a 'platinum address, in the Scenic Rim. He outlined their plans to build new sporting and commercial infrastructures in Kooralbyn, before they begin to build and market any residential buildings.
Then he went on to state that the consortium saw the construction of this road as a high priority, and that it would be one of their first major undertakings. It is vital to their plans for Kooralbyn. If necessary, he added, they may pay for the work to be done before funding had been distributed by the various levels of government. Mr Howard expects that the consortium will start going about the building the foundations for many of their visions in 2012.
The Kooralbyn Chamber members were much excited and enthused by the address, and although a little guarded about promises, look forward to a time when infrastructure works commence. We wish them well in all of their endeavours.
Mayor John Brent and Crs Cockburn, Bensted and Wehl also addressed the Chamber, and added their support for the future of Kooralbyn. They all raised the benefits the link would have to those from the western regions of the SRRC wanting easier and quicker access to existing and new facilities in Kooralbyn.
