Came away with a good feeling. Professional bunch of directors and small team of employees. Smokey Hills sounds pretty straightforward. About to test and commission the new plant. Ore at ROM stated to be higher grade than the plant was built for, so as I understood it they were about to top the ore with a bit of rubbish to see the plant work at the specified mixture. I'm probably not making a lot of engineering sense, 'cause I'm not an engineer. Anyway the people present seemed to be positive about the presentation.
MD pretty excited about Kalplats and its' long term potential.
A question was raised about the directors' plans to ward off potential take over at depressed prices. Usual talk about SH decision, however, he did suggest that any offer would need to be at least 130% beyond present prices.
PGM supply/demand and cost of production for many major suppliers at greater than revenue stream discussion by MD was interesting. PLA low production cost looks a positive position for PLA. I didn't quite recall the likely cash flow date from Smokey Hills but I'd say it will be in next two/three months.
Met and had a chat to three directors as well.
As I mentioned at the start, I came away with a positive feeling that the company has a good surplus cash flow about to start, a prospect that could be a company maker and most importantly a board with professionalism and skill to deliver a benefit for SH. Think I might buy a few more while they are so cheap!
