we had a teacher who was a bully , (by todays standards,) an ex-international rugby player...40years ago.
a 10 year old with severe asthma had to complete all P/E/ assignments, until one day....he just died on a cross country run.Poor buggar, in those days , in a country school, your 'worth ' was so related to your sporting prowess.

Today u would sue the c@ap out of the school., ..an unknown concept then....
