Reducing emissions?? One good way is to have regular blackouts and rely on unreliables which will provide less of intermittent power.
How about reducing the growing mountains of garbage?
The so called clean and green will simply aid in building higher mountains of trash. According to the video only a small amount of recycling is done despite all the hoo ha about recycling. Most thrash ends up in land fills - mountains of it and results in contaminated soils, waterways and the generation of flammable and smelly methane gas - and when a fire happens there will be some smoke - perhaps lots and rather toxic. Soon these man made trash mountains will grow taller with ruinable ruins.
Perhaps may be a good idea to send some of those wonderful scientists to do their research out to the giant floating islands of trash with a mandate to come up with net zero policies toward waste whilst sitting on top of a mountain enjoying the sights, smells and sounds as a result of some of their own achievements. Nice views hey?? It's garbage you may say? - Sure is, and lots of it and plenty more to come.
Of course in economy they keep reiterating one needs growth - rubbish is a perfect growth industry - repeat business is assured.
