I'm not inside the paywall on AFR, but there's more to batteries than everyone's current favourites lithium & rare earths. Several nickel miners are at an interesting (and perhaps vulnerable) stage of their business cycle.
But don't forget copper - apparently there's more Cu by weight in an EV battery than Li, NI or Co, and over 100 pounds of copper is used in an entire EV including the wiring harness etc.
