The bid that KKR made for RHC around July 2022 of approx. $88/share would not still be "on the table" as you put it.
I think that bid would have been put in the fireplace a long time ago. The table would also have become firewood at the
same time. I should have sold all my holdings at that point but instead I kept most of them in the vain hope that a better
offer would have been forthcoming. Holding my breath for a better offer would have me deceased by now.
That reminds me of the offer a large finance company made for AMP about fifteen years ago. The $16+ / share bid was described by
company management as 'grossly undervalued' at the time. Fast forward to recent years and they have been hovering around
$1 / share together with a persistent stink regarding the once mighty company.
