I get the feeling when a company is considering a bid for all their shares that the shareholders are the last people they worry about.
They probably are aware if a bid is successful they will all lose their jobs. Most would probably not be employable in a position
where they can influence a board to give them pay rises and generous share options etc.
RHC are in a position like SHL in Aust. The Government sets the amount they are prepared to reimburse for hospital stays, pathology testing,
imaging (X-ray, CAT scans etc.), and other things SHL and RHC provide. Never mind that the quality and speed of these ancillary services improves
with every passing year. They will only refund a portion of the costs as they deem fit. Insurers only cover what they can get away with also.
I'm still covered for Obstetrics (?) but they dropped cataract surgery from the list of services my policy covers.
RHC and SHL are about 30% of my portfolio and I fear they are going to languish for a long time for the above reasons..
