Additionally, who ever is taking over would have to offer a huge premium. A lot of holders here I imagine will be significantly in the red. That's the only way I see the required number of votes voting in favour, or a hostile takeover.
Maybe the thread was called Wesfarmers because WES are cashed up to their eyeballs currently? Don't know. 100% rumours and speculation, take it with a grain of salt.
