    Why do you tell your adviser that your risk profile is low, and then you get upset with low performance. Then you go and compare to the returns of the equity market....lets compare apples with apples.

    Your lower risk profile resulted in some of your portfolio weighted towards income secuirites...and we all know what happens to them when interest rates go down.....they go down.

    Re seeking advice from an independant who isn't /ie MLC they and their products would have achieved the same result over that time frame...it wasnt Westpac that got you that performance (or lack of)...it was the underlying fund manager.

    Go back to your original adviser and say you want to up your risk profile...and yes...you too would have done 10% plus in the last year.
