Its ok to chastise Westpac for failing to provide the data to Austrac (or whoever else was meant to receive this data) however what was the receiving institution doing since 2013 (Or whenever this started)?
Did they every look at the data? Did they ever check or run audits? I would have thought this responsibility cuts both ways.
Could this by the receiving institution not every raising a single question have contributed to this complacency?
