Signature Metals finds high-grade Konogo gold

"Signature Metals Ltd has identified high-grade gold at the Konogo project in Ghana’s Ashanti gold belt.

Results include:

Drill hole 09KGDR001: 14m at 5.44g/t gold from 129m including 5m at 9.39g/t gold from 129m including 4m of stope material from 134m

Drill hole 09KGDR003:10m at 5.70g/t gold from 173m including 4m at 10.4g/t gold from 174m

Drill hole 09KGDR003: 4m at 10.5g/t gold from 127m

Drill hole 09KGDR003: 3m at 10.4g/t gold from 159m

The results from 09KGDR001 confirm that high-grade gold shoots continue below the previously mined Obenemase pit. The intersection of 10m at 5.70g/t gold in 09KGDR003 is 40m up dip of an historical intersection of 10m at 11.8g/t gold in drill hole OBAD113, demonstrating the continuity of the high-grade shoot.

The company expects to release further results from the ongoing program in the coming weeks, and is also assessing options to increase the pace of exploration activities with the addition of one or two extra drilling rigs."

As the company has a limited exploration budget it's pretty obvious that they believe that they can identify a significant gold resource that they can bring to early production if they're considering increasing the pace of exploration activity at this early stage.

I'm expecting some very positive announcements in the coming weeks.
