Just to address the topic heading... NMS, or anyone else for that matter, won't be doing any welding out there for quite a while. The place is awash with hydrocarbons = KABOOM!!
I was sitting on the DLB underneath the jacket when the well popped. If the wind was blowing the other way I'd still be coming down.
But aside from that NMS are beginning to appear on quite a few projects I've been on.
