i live in the USA, and have had similar experiences with my other Aussie stocks. I'm of the opinion that any rights offerings to shareholders cause too much paperwork with the SEC for foreign companies to bother for the small amount of US shareholders. Am I annoyed? Yes somewhat, but I'm quite frankly so grateful to begin with that I am able to buy stocks like LYC and ARU at all that I'm not going to complain.
