I came through the northern roadblock on Friday, after 6pm thinking that the border control post would be gone but we still have it in place till the 14th I believe?.
I asked the policeman why it was still up?
His reply was that it was a precaution and that they wanted to make sure that the virus didn’t get into indigenous communities as they have /are prone to health issues??
I don’t know if that statement was his own personal opinion or mandated by the labor government over here but it did surprise me, nobody can say that we don’t care about our country cousins over this side.
