Hi Devil, I think vaccines will help, and compared with the alternatives, pretty cheap. No good evidence , yet , that they will stop transmission, but I struggle to think of a vaccination which doesn't. Lets say 50 bucks per person per jab , assume 2 jabs for 20 million , comes to 2 billion. Peanuts compared with what this pandemic has cost us . On remote quarantine, also expensive , but also cheap compared with the alternatives. Shutdowns are expensive, but nowhere near as expensive as the infection out of control. As well as remote, I would be putting in place dedicated quarantine work forces, and perhaps mostly live in. None of what I am talking about is new, we need to look in the past at how quarantine was handled .
The usual crazies who will whine about all this stuff [note: ''concentration camp'' comment, I wonder how some of these people manage to put their shoes on the right feet in the morning], just need to be ignored.
