Liar. Some of the items weren't at Australian clinical grade. Not China's fault if the two countries have different quality. The US was still screaming, and they still gave it to Australia not the the US, and it still made a big difference.

Here's the truth (all though I flinch putting the AFR and truth together these days..). Key point in bold, just for you. Naturally the AFR went for the attention grabbing headline, not the actual core of the matter, which is that the all of the equipment wasn't clinical grade, but wasn't meant to be, and still gave the overall health system and hospitals, a massive boost. Brains like yours don't get past the headline?

There is some really good equipment in there and that is fantastic. It will be a big boost to our hospitals,” Mr Cook said on Monday.

Mr Cook said there was potential for community workers to use some of the equipment that didn’t meet clinical standards.

He later clarified his comments after Minderoo was questioned about the status of the equipment, saying: “As I stated earlier today, not all the equipment sourced by the Minderoo Foundation has been classified as clinical grade, but this was never the intention. "

Forrest's virus supplies shipment not fully 'clinical grade'

    Apr 6, 2020 – 6.22pm

Some of the Chinesemedical equipment imported by mining billionaire Andrew Forrestis not suitable for hospital use in thefight against coronavirus.

Health department officials in Western Australia found a portion of the medical equipment inspected so far was not clinical standard.

WA health minister Roger Cook said authorities continued to inspect the remainder of some 90 tonnes of equipmentsecured from Chinaby Mr Forrest through his philanthropic Minderoo Foundation.

“That work is ongoing. There is some really good equipment in there and that is fantastic. It will be a big boost to our hospitals,” Mr Cook said on Monday.

“Some of the other stuff is not necessarily clinical grade.”
