Matt - if the recommendation might be a "ruse" as you call it, wouldn't it be better to bet that it isn't and have it overturned by the Hedge Funds that bet that it is - and thereby get stuck with a No deal when the Board was really recommending what they say they are recommending.
Maybe a YES vote is what they want to flush out that rival bidder. I doubt it, but you get my drift. What I am saying is that you are second guessing an intent.
