    Just as an adjunct to the above, it was suggested by someone on this forum that news could be suppresed. That can and does happen.

    To cite an example, Beach Petroleum have a tenament in the Suez Canal region and they were told by B.P. (they have a large stake) not to release any information regarding the progress of the drilling etc etc as it was "comercially sensitive".

    Not pushing anyone elses barrow on this site, just saying that the "suppresion" of news is a fact.
