Maybe not melbourne but certainly there are places in victoria that would well be candidates for microgrids. In particular given the yearly bushfire threats. Portland/Warrambool/Port Fairy would be cadidates as would most of the costal town along the west coast. Port Fairy and Portland have already projects on the go. It would be interesting to see how Wonthaggi and the east coast develops given the coal power shut downs. THe desalination plant is down there and the economy is going to take a hit. Real Political reasons to invest in new industries.
