OFX board made the call to terminate discussions on the basis of that they didn't think an offer was forthcoming. How reliable is their hunch? I would presume it to be fairly high given their intimate discussions over the last few months, but can they be wrong?
Kimber tells Fairfax in this article today that "...Western Union had asked to do more analysis of OFX on Friday". Is the deal really dead, or has OFX jumped the gun?
Anyway, I'd wait to hear Western Union's side of the story at their AGM this Tuesday 9th Feb before deciding what to do.
