There's an interesting article in this mornings Australian (sorry behind a paywall so can't post it) on KDR and the fact that management considered a management buy-out before they settled on the friendly WES takeover bid.
Clearly, the inference here is that if MacBank (adviser to KDR) had contemplated and recommended to one of their clients such an option, why wouldn't other industry players consider the same option. After all, the market has currently provided a golden opportunity to "steal" Li assets based on the current market valuations of most Li players.
It's not beyond the realm of possibilities that the reason we have seen negotiations on the part sale of SDV break down and the lukewarm response of management to defend the current share price is because management is considering a buy-out of GXY. I'm not saying this is the case, I am saying it is possible.
Anyway, that's my thought for the day.
