My vote for point 3 - yes opportunistic. However I wouldn't say they don't have a coherent strategy. they just saw opporunities and took them. A lot smarter than HDR who sold them the stock in ARQ. Note they also cashed out of VOY and I understand they took that stock partly to form relationship wth guys at VOY who they respect.
I think they'd rather take JV positions in producing wells but if they see other opportunites (like those with ARQ adn VOY) they'll take them. Good and reasonably substantial fast profits - nothing wrong with that.
Possibly they have some other opportunities on the boil also and would like to have their cash ready. Amnyoen hear anything?
I hold WGR and CPC.
