So what if people are shorting the stock? It's the same motivation as people going long. Backing a financial opinion to make a profit. Nothing anybody ever posts on here is going to convince JP Morgan to dump their holdings.
Less than 1% short interest is not necessarily good news. It means there aren't many people who are required to buy back the stock at any point. If shorts start piling in then there's the risk of a cascade.
