Yes, there are many ways to skin a cat. RAID disks, redundant servers with mirroring etc. etc. All it takes is to switch to a working server and fix the one that is down. Actually it does not even need a manual switch over, the switching is seamless and automatic. Critical IT systems also have mirroring in physically separate data centres, to mitigate catastrophes like fire, earthquake etc. What is Westpact spending on ... managers' golf tournaments? I am so pissed off ...
