If Westpac are still looking to divest their pacific assets its likely they would welcome the splitting of these assets allowing KSL to pick up Fiji operations as this wouldn't impact competition in PNG banking sector.
I think either way we will likely see KSL expanding their operations by fully utilising the cash they raised now that it isn't tied up in this proposed acquisition. Which bodes well for the EPS over the coming years.
