Westpac Nail in Coffin?

i thought the Visa announcement was super interesting, but looks like Westpac have just enabled an internal post settlement BNPL function for ALL CREDIT CARD purchases over $500. very clever stuff from big red, and likely to take even more wind out of the SPT sail unfortunately.

will be interesting for the whole BNPL sector if all banks head down this path and give consumers this functionality at back end, but more much dangerous for SPT that existing players for obvious reasons.
