The problem with the big 4 at present, well one inparticular namely the NAB, is that they use income TAX returns from 07/08 to work out the viability of lending to a self employed.

This logic is flawed considering 07/08 and up to mid 09 was the worst time to gnerate income for most self employed due to all the events around that period.

So they should be considering forard projections thus funding great small businesses looking to expand as the market returns to normal and growth heads north.
