once companies are competing with other companies that are using these cost cutting tricks, then they'll have no choice but to adopt the same in this 'dog eat dog' world that we're now in. It needs to be nipped in the bud because it's no longer about profits, but survival. So once they're forced to abort the overseas exodus, then they'll have a level playing field and just have to accept the situation with expensive local wages - it'll be the same for all competitors. But until that happens, we'd better get used to it.
