is incorrect.
It should say :
Buyers after the ex dividend date will not receive the dividend because they bought on or after ex date.
ridge if arthur does buy on 5th and sell on 6th will he/she/it have to ake a special effort (like writing to registrar) to make sure div arrives or will it just come no worries?
