It is Westpac’s scandal. It had nothing to do with me. Australians doing what those customers did online taking advantage of people in the Phillipines is appalling, scandalous and could have (and perhaps should have) and perhaps will have diabolical impacts for Westpac then and in the future.
It has cost Westpac about $40 billion AUD and still continues to this very day.
Westpac has a globally bad reputation and has become synonymous with money laundering scandal.
