Actually, the Big 4 never asked for, nor did they receive any bail outs from any Aust Govt. The only thing that came close was when our banker friends in Mr JC's country, good ol' US of A, screwed the international economy (GFC) due to their greed & pathetic banking regulatory system (not sure why he continues to bang on about ours) and the Oz Fed Govt imposed a deposit guarantee on the big 4, for which they paid a levy based on their deposit balances.
