Seriously, I sold down at this peak to nominal holding levels. I expect I will be able to buy in at a lot lower level as the credit cycle deteriorates over the next 12-18 months. It takes that long for the bad debts (company - not individual) to come up and be dealt with (work around, restructure and write-offs). What we are seeing with building companies and some retailers (eg Godfreys and Body Shop) is only early stages.

And, yes, I was one of the mugs that bought some at $30 but bought a lot more at $16.47 during covid. I will recover my losses one day.

Still below $26 and well below $39. Westpac has sure been massively beaten up since the money laundering problems and has never recovered.

Perhaps the money laundering problems still exist and Westpac is struggling to put those problems behind them.
