I reckon a $1B is getting off lightly, why no criminal prosecutions?
Senior Westpac management (and presumably risk) endorsed funding for a project that circumvented SWIFT and AUSTRAC monitoring. Disgraceful. Larger fine AND criminal prosecutions AND not tax deductible otherwise it's just a speeding fine, a cost of doing business.
THIS IS THEIR ONLY JOB.
And spare us the crocodile tears about the children, it's abundantly clear that the only concerns of most holders on here is the share price and Franking credits.
