i live in a small town and many of our shops have been empty for months. whenever i visit the major urban centres ( mostly sydney, brisbane amd Gold Coast) i notice the same thing, and in increasing volume.

i am sure alot of this has to do with the internet, and another great percentage of it from peoples aversion to risk in the current economy. But from personal experience and anecdotal impressions from close family and friends alike, things are still a great deal worse in places like the UK and the US.

to be honest, my personal experiences with real estate right now are equally glum.

I guess people need to remember that the markets are moved by people with money, and as the Occupiers liked to remind us, these make up only 1% or so of our planet.

what is happening in the real world is very far removed from what we analyze here, and i would be embarrased to correlate the two.

to be perfectly frank, i sure as hell aint gonna quit my day job any time soon.
