Unfortunately, it's simply not true that Australian investors are not comfortable investing in the riskier stocks!
The ASX is a great place to list mining speccies and biotechs because it has an enormous appetite for risk - that is why a lot of US biotechs list on the ASX, because NASDAQ expects a much later stage of development. Our public markets are therefore great sources of venture capital (just as well, because our VC market is pretty much non-existent compared to the US).
Unfortunately, it's simply not true that Australian investors...
